Role Summary: As a Data Center Location Strategist within
our Real Estate and Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible for
identifying, evaluating, and securing optimal locations for data center
developments, ensuring reliable power supply, seamless connectivity, and robust
security infrastructure. Your expertise in site selection, utility cost
analysis, and strategic planning will be crucial in driving successful data
center projects that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Selection & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of
potential data center sites, considering factors such as proximity to power
sources, connectivity infrastructure, security considerations, and
cost-effectiveness.
Utility Cost Management: Analyze electricity rates, negotiate
with power suppliers, and develop energy optimization strategies to minimize
utility costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with design and
construction teams to ensure that data center facilities are equipped with
redundant systems, robust connectivity solutions, and advanced security
measures.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships
with utility providers, local governments, and regulatory agencies to
facilitate permit approvals, negotiate incentives, and address any
site-specific challenges.
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Develop
financial models, prepare investment proposals, and provide regular updates to
senior management on site selection strategies, cost projections, and project
timelines.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Evaluate
potential risks related to site selection, utility dependencies, and regulatory
compliance, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard project investments
and ensure long-term viability.
Market Research & Trends Analysis: Stay
abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
impacting data center developments, providing insights and recommendations to
guide strategic decision-making.
